I asked if there were any rules regarding certain attires to wear in the fitness center but he just completely ignored me… I put on a sweater just to comply… I there are no rules that prohibit the outfit I wore, should I continue to wear it next time around?

In gyms near me it is quite common to see women wearing a sports bra and loose shorts to work out. These are considered quite acceptable. I wonder what your outfit looked like because it sounds odd that they would find it inappropriate.
As another post says, if their rules seem arbitrary then find a different gym.

So many people are die hard fans for whatever sports team of whatever sport they like. Some of the real nutters are huge fans of the worst teams out there. Why does a person choose a team, especially if they cheer for a team that always loses.

They live within or close to the city that team is stationed in. Some follow a team because they grew up with them / their parents are die hard fans. Others follow them because they jumped on a band wagon when they were once a good team and they felt they should stick with them. Others feel emotionally attached to one team. Many people have different reasons. I was one of the band wagon because I did not like my local teams. My team is horrible now, but I’m not going to be fake and switch to a different team. Sports teams need loyal fans.

Do you already have to be pretty good with experience, etc.?
Do they train whoever tries out?

Can someone like me who appears to be in shape but is really not and played softball VERY briefly about 5 years ago be considered for a team?

Your response is greatly appreciated! ;]

I’m afraid you won’t be considered for a team, the overwhelming majority of college athletes have lots of experience and are recruited by the college to play for them. You could try to play for an intramural team, most colleges have intramural sports teams.

Steven, how can you possibly think that’s a bad move? Now that Asomugha is gone, the team has to rely on some inexperienced talent in the DB positions. Routt is a great cornerback who has a lot of potential to improve.

In college sports redshirting means that an athlete can sit out for their first year. each player is granted 4 years of playing eligibility.
if a player redshirts that means they can not see any playing time.
this pretty much means that a player can be on the team for up to five years.
if they sit out there first year they are called a redshirt freshman. if they play their first year they are called a true freshman.
teams do this because somtimes a player is not ready to go straight onto the playing field so they get the extra year to mentor and develop their skills.

Yeah. Are there any teams in the sports you watch that are sponsored by Gambling Organisations?
Also. Why is gambling focusing on sports instead of casinos or other forms of gambling?

Pro sport leagues generally ban any official contact between teams or players and gambling organizations or the act of gambling on sports. The bans are intended to avoid any hint that a player or team would adjust the outcome of a game in order to benefit people or organizations that are betting on the games.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sporting_scandals

Gambling organizations will take bets on ANYTHING that people are willing to bet on. People are passionate about sports and want to bet on them. Since the odds are not fixed so that the random luck of most casino games cannot give the house a fixed percentage of your bet, many people like to gamble on things that they can use knowledge to improve their odds of winning.
In a casino, knowledgeable playing can give you a slight advantage over the house (who still wins money from the less knowledgeable players) in Craps and Blackjack. However, the main skill that you can use in Blackjack is "card counting" and they will politely tell you to leave and not return if you are caught doing it completely in your head. If you use ANY device to count cards, you may be spending time in a jail or prison.
