i love college sports. especially basketball and march maddness. also, i am a huge longhorns and vols fan. but i want to know how much sports matter in other countries. i wanted to ask this question when i went to fiji, NZ, and Australia 2 years ago, but i forgot since i had not watched college sport in forever.

Many countries do not have college sports as in the U.S.
Some countries have sports, but not the same as the U.S.
Track and field is a club sport in Australia and many other Common Wealth countries and not done a schools.

   In Australia sports is considered the same level as joining a gym – people do it but its private, nothing to do with university. There are more people on the field then watching.
